Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Singlenote stores your note exclusively on your device, and your note content never leaves it. The only thing we collect is anonymous, aggregate usage data that helps us improve the app, and you can turn it off at any time.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:
- Your note content
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your location
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
All note content — text, checklists, links, and images — is stored exclusively in your device's local app storage and never leaves your device.
2. Anonymous usage data
To understand how Singlenote is used and where to improve it, we collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregate usage data. This includes things like the length of a note, how many images it contains, which formatting tools are used, and which language is selected.
This data is not linked to your identity. It contains no note content, no text you type, no names, and no device identifiers. It cannot be used to identify you or to reconstruct your note.
We process this data on our own infrastructure, hosted by Supabase in the European Union. It is not shared with advertising networks or third-party analytics providers. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, and when it is off, nothing is sent.
3. Photo library access
Singlenote may request access to your photo library so you can insert images into your note. Images you choose to insert are copied to the app's local storage on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.
4. Website and waitlists
If you join a waitlist on singlenote.app — for example, to be notified when the app launches, or for early access to a future beta feature — we collect the email address and platform (iOS, Android, or other) you provide through the sign-up form.
These waitlists are hosted on Google Forms. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We use your email address only to send you a single notification for the waitlist you joined — for example, when the app becomes available, or when the feature you signed up for opens for early access. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we delete it after that notification has been sent.
You can ask us to remove your email from a waitlist at any time by writing to hi@bytelantic.com.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
We plan to offer optional paid features processed through Apple App Store and Google Play. Purchases are managed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat may collect:
- A randomly generated, anonymous user identifier
- Purchase receipts and transaction history
- Device type and OS version, for fraud prevention
RevenueCat does not receive the content of your note. For details on how RevenueCat handles data, see their Privacy Policy.
Purchases are also subject to Apple's and Google's privacy policies depending on your device.
6. Third-party services
Other than RevenueCat (used only during a purchase) and Supabase (which hosts the infrastructure where anonymous usage data is stored), Singlenote is not integrated with advertising networks, third-party analytics providers, or social platforms.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your note content exists only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or use the in-app "Delete note" function.
8. Children's privacy
Singlenote is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as we add new features. If we make material changes — for example, if we introduce server-side features or additional data collection — we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you within the app. Continued use of Singlenote after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at hi@bytelantic.com.
